EVANGELISM

Evangelism Ministry

We view evangelism as the integral part of our church, and we want to reach as many people for Christ as possible, locally and globally. Our local mission field is - Jerusalem [Kingston 8] here we target everyone; Judea [City Kingston]; Samaria [Jamaica with ethnic diversity]; and the uttermost part of the earth [the whole world]. See Acts 1:8.

Missions

Our involvement with missions includes praying for missionaries and various ministries, giving gifts in kind, as well as giving monetary support to mission boards, missionaries, and other ministries. We do this in endeavour to obey the great commission to evangelize our nation, other countries, and the world. We have also dedicated the fourth Sunday in each month as Missions Sunday.

Our church supports the following missionary, ministry servants, and organizations.

  • Dorothy Williams - our missionary who has been commissioned to work with the deaf. She teaches and ministers to deaf children at the Kingston campus - Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf (CCCD). Please pray along with us for the salvation of deaf persons in Jamaica.

  • Rev. Devon Linton

  • Rev. Garnet Samuels

  • Rev. Leroy Thompson

  • Caribbean Global Missions - a ministry of the Grace Bible Churches located on Paddock Road, Dalkeith, St Michael in Barbados. This ministry provides support for missionaries, and assists in the establishment of local Bible-believing churches in the Caribbean and throughout the world.

  • Fairview Baptist Bible College - Fairview Baptist Bible College was founded in Jamaica in 1963 by Baptist Mid-Missions and is located on the border of Westmoreland and Hanover, Jamaica. Its mission is "to train competent, compassionate, effective servant leaders for the ministry of Christ in the local churches of Jamaica, the Caribbean and the World."

  • Teen Challenge Jamaica - Teen Challenge Jamaica is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals suffering from drug and alcohol addiction regardless of their financial situation. They offer a one-year residential, Christian rehabilitation program at their facilities in St. Ann, Jamaica. It is also their goal to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

Golden Age Home Ministry

Golden Age Home Ministry

Every second Sunday in each month, we visit and minister to the residents living at the Vineyard Town Golden Age Home - the only Infirmary for the parishes of Kingston and St. Andrew.

The purpose for our visits is to share the love of God, and to demonstrate our love for the helpless, disabled, and elderly by ministering to their spiritual and physical needs. We also host an Annual Christmas Treat for the residents where they have a time of singing Christmas carols, eating dinner, and receiving gifts.

We welcome and encourage your participation in this Ministry, and request that you pray along with us for the care, provision and salvation of persons living in Infirmaries and in the Homes for the elderly.

Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach Ministry includes the EBC Feeding Programme, Visitation And Soul Winning Ministry, and other activities that cater to the spiritual and physical needs of persons living in and around our community - Kingston 8, Jamaica. It also involves increasing the awareness about our church.

EBC Feeding Programme

Our Feeding Programme distributes both gift and food packages to poor and needy persons living in and around our community. These packages contain items donated by members of our church and by Food for the Poor, Ja.

We distribute food packages on the second Saturday of each month between the hours of 9:00am to 11:00am. Persons coming to our Feeding Programme are first assembled for a short Bible devotion and afterward, they are given their packages with a gospel tract and an invitation to worship at our church.

Information about our Feeding Programme is usually spread by word-of-mouth, and the persons who come are very grateful for their packages. View more pictures.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (2 Corinthians 4:3)
